Each communication therapy journey at Coneflower begins with a phone consultation to discuss your needs, concerns, and goals as well as next steps (an evaluation or services).

In-Home Evaluations

(Clinic-based evaluations beginning Summer 2026)

Coneflower Speech Therapy offers evaluations using norm-referenced assessments (formal tests that provide a standard score comparing your child’s skills to same-age peers), criterion referenced assessments (tests that measure your child’s skills against a set of norms, like a checklist of skills), caregiver interview, and/or professional observation. All evaluations include a play-based observation of skills. Each evaluation is individualized and may last between 1-3 hours.

If an evaluation is recommended or requested by you, you will be sent an intake packet to complete and return 2 business days before the evaluation session. Evaluations are not always necessary to begin therapy, but may be warranted based on information from the consultation.

Pricing:

Early childhood (0-5) evaluations: $250-600
School-age (5-13) evaluations: $275-650

All services are private pay at this time. Payment is due at the time of service. Coneflower Speech Therapy accepts checks and all major credit cards including HSA/FSA cards.
